Welcome to Alamo Libre, an outpost for Catholic men who hunger for more—more faith, more virtue, more of the beauty that’s been handed down through the ages.
I’m a husband and father, and like many of you, I’ve spent too long drifting through a half-lived Catholicism. Now, I’m awake to its truth, drawn to the beauty and depth of our faith and the traditions of our fathers, yet I don’t fit the usual crowds—the “rigid” traditional bubble nor the “Catholic in name only” mainstream. I’m on a Templar path, a quest to become a modern knight, and I’m inviting you to join me.
Here, it’s about three things:
Discere—learning the faith, from the catechisms, the Fathers, to the fire of the Templar Rule; Vivere—living it out as men, husbands, and fathers in a world that’s lost its way; and Amare—loving Christ and His Church with a heart wide open. But this isn’t for my glory or yours. As the Templars prayed, Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini Tuo da gloriam—not for us, O Lord, not for us, but for Your glory. I’m no saint, just a guy stumbling forward, trying to grow truer and humbler every day. Alamo Libre is for men like us who feel the same ache to deepen their faith, to stand as knights at the Alamo of our time. This is our ground. We’re works in progress, but we’re in it together.
Step in, brother—let’s learn, live, and love the faith as it was meant to be.
